Information About Retrieving Your Data
Once your data have been collected, we will send you an email with a URL to the
location from which you can download it. We typically include a zip file that contains all
the data files, and we also include individual links to the files if you prefer to download them
that way.
Raman Data
There will often be two sets of data files, as follows:
- header files - These files are usually in a directory called "hdr" and include information
about the experimental conditions for each scan. There is one header file for each data file. Some
of the information in this file is incorrect if we forget to update it for every scan. If you have questions
about the information contained here, please
email
us. We keep our lab books up to date, so we will be able to locate the correct information for you.
- data files - These files are usually in a directory called "txt" and consist of two columns
of tab-delineated numbers. The first column is the Raman shift, in wavenumbers (inverse cm) and
the second column is the intensity in arbitrary units.
