The cylindrical curvature of nano-scale tubular structures has significant effects on the distribution of scattering intensities. The cylindrical curvature can be taken into account fully with the incorporation of Bessel functions in the formulas. For the case of carbon nanotubes or any other related tubular structures, analytic formulas has been derived to express the scattering amplitude. Numerical calculations can be performed using these equations using Nanotube Diffraction Simulator.
